Ranked list

The best Bitcoin price alert app, ranked by what can trigger it

By , developer of CoinPriceAlert · 12 services, competitor facts read on the dates linked under each entry

Short answer

The best Bitcoin price alert app depends on what you want triggered. By how much of Bitcoin each can watch, Cryptocurrency Alerting is first — it is the only one alerting on Bitcoin dominance, funding rates, whale moves and the mempool — and Coinsentry second, for alerts when a Bitcoin cycle indicator crosses a threshold. CoinPriceAlert is third, with the widest set of price-derived Bitcoin triggers, 3 alerts free, delivery to push, Telegram and email, and no account.

Every service on this page can tell you Bitcoin crossed a number, so the best Bitcoin price alert app is not decided there. It is decided by everything else each one can trigger on — dominance, funding, cycle indicators, moving averages, volatility — and by what it costs to get the alert onto your phone. This is written by the developer of CoinPriceAlert, which finishes third; the two above it alert on Bitcoin market structure that CoinPriceAlert does not touch. Every competitor fact was read off that company's own pages on the date shown.

What this list is ranked by

Ranked by how many distinct Bitcoin triggers each service documents beyond a plain price level: percentage moves, indicators, market structure, on-chain activity, volatility. Delivery, free plan and price are listed for each but do not decide the order, because the first question with a Bitcoin alert is whether the thing you care about can fire one at all.

Read, and not an alert app

CryptoListing.ws is on the same reading list and is excluded on purpose: it sells millisecond delivery of exchange listing announcements to trading bots, per exchange, per month, and its own pages say it does not watch prices.

Setting the alert itself

Picking the service is the smaller half. The larger half is picking a threshold that fires often enough to be useful and rarely enough to be read, which is a measurable question rather than a taste one.

Setting one up here

If CoinPriceAlert is the right fit: crypto price alerts, percentage alerts, alerts in Telegram, or every market and alert type. If it is not, the head-to-head comparisons say so per rival.

Never miss a move in the markets you follow

Set the level once and the check runs on our servers, so the alert reaches you with the app closed, on push, Telegram or email, and never at 3am unless you ask.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best app for Bitcoin price alerts?

If you want more than a price level, Cryptocurrency Alerting, because it is the only one here alerting on Bitcoin dominance, funding rates, whale moves and the mempool. If you want the widest set of price-derived triggers with delivery to push, Telegram and email and no account at all, CoinPriceAlert — written by me, and third on this page's own measure, with 3 alerts free.

Can I get a free Bitcoin price alert?

Yes, from most of this list. Binance publishes 50 free alerts valid 90 days, Coinsentry 10, Coinwink 10 split between email and Telegram, CoinPriceAlert 3 across any market, and Cryptocurrency Alerting 3. Coinbase, Kraken, Crypto.com and CoinGecko give free alerts without publishing a limit.

Do I need an exchange account to get Bitcoin alerts?

Not unless you choose one that lives inside an exchange. Binance, Coinbase, Kraken and Crypto.com alerts require an account there, and Altrady requires an exchange API connection. CoinPriceAlert never asks for an API key, wallet connection or seed phrase, because it only ever reads public prices.

How quickly do Bitcoin alerts arrive?

Few companies publish this. Cryptocurrency Alerting says it typically collects and alerts within 15 to 25 seconds; Coinsentry claims a 2.8-second median. CoinPriceAlert checks every 5 seconds on our servers, with the app closed. Binance-listed coins use a live price stream; stocks, metals and forex use quotes refreshed every minute. Everyone else on this page publishes no figure, so none is quoted for them.
