Kraken price alerts vs CoinPriceAlert
Use Kraken’s own alerts if you trade on Kraken: they are free, they sit in the app you already have, and its volatility alerts on favourited markets are a real feature most alert apps do not copy. Use CoinPriceAlert if you want alerts in Telegram or email rather than only on Kraken’s screens, coins Kraken does not list, 185 US and Indian stocks plus gold, oil and forex, quiet hours, indicator and trailing-stop alerts, or simply a watchlist that does not live inside the account holding your money.
Written by the developer of CoinPriceAlert, so read it with that in mind. Every Kraken fact below comes from Kraken's own pages on the date shown; where they do not publish something, the table says "Not published" rather than guessing. If anything has changed, email us and it will be corrected.

Where Kraken is better
- Free, with nothing extra to install if you already trade on Kraken, and you can act on the alert in the same window.
- Volatility alerts on favourited markets, which flag an outsized move without you choosing a level. CoinPriceAlert’s nearest equivalent is its big-move alert on top coins.
- Alerts follow Kraken’s own market prices exactly, and sync across its web, mobile and desktop apps.
- A desktop app, which CoinPriceAlert does not have.
Where CoinPriceAlert is better
- Telegram and email delivery; Kraken’s help page lists app push, browser pop-ups and desktop notifications only.
- Coins Kraken does not list, plus 185 US and Indian stocks, metals, energy and 14 forex pairs in one watchlist.
- No exchange account or KYC: watching a price should not require access to where your money is.
- Quiet hours in your own time zone, per-alert cooldowns, notes on each alert, and a home screen widget.
- Percentage, trailing-stop, volume, RSI, market cap and MACD/EMA crossover alerts on Pro at $6.99 a month.
Which to pick
Choose Kraken if you trade on Kraken and want free alerts, including volatility alerts, beside the order book. Choose CoinPriceAlert if you want alerts in Telegram or email, on more than Kraken’s markets, and kept apart from your exchange account. Both can be tried free, so the fairest test is to set the same alert on each and see which notification you actually act on.
Setting one up here: crypto price alerts, percentage alerts, alerts in Telegram, or every market and alert type.
Never miss a move in the markets you follow
Name the price that would change your mind, set it once, and get told when it happens rather than watching a chart for it.

Frequently asked questions
Does Kraken have price alerts?
Yes. Kraken Pro has price alerts, set from the bell on the Markets page or by long-pressing a market, plus volatility alerts on markets you favourite. They work on its web, mobile and desktop apps, per its support article read on 29 September 2026.
How many Kraken price alerts can I set?
Kraken does not publish a limit on its support page, so no number is quoted here. CoinPriceAlert allows 3 active alerts free and removes the limit on Pro.
Can Kraken send alerts by email or Telegram?
Its support page lists push notifications in the Kraken Pro app, browser pop-ups with a sound, and notifications from Kraken Desktop. Email and Telegram are not among them. CoinPriceAlert delivers by push, Telegram and email.
Why are my Kraken price alerts not arriving?
Its page says push notifications must be enabled both in your phone’s settings and inside the Kraken Pro app, and that browser notifications must be allowed for the web pop-up. It also notes futures alerts cannot be created in the app, only on the web.
