Binance price alerts vs CoinPriceAlert
Use Binance's own alerts if you trade on Binance and need a handful of alerts on its pairs: they are free and sit in the app you trade from. Use CoinPriceAlert if you want more than 50 alerts, alerts that do not lapse after 90 days, coins Binance does not list, stocks, gold and forex, Telegram or email delivery, or simply a watchlist that does not live inside the account holding your money.
Written by the developer of CoinPriceAlert, so read it with that in mind. Every Binance fact below comes from Binance's own pages on the date shown; where they do not publish something, the table says "Not published" rather than guessing. If anything has changed, email us and it will be corrected.

Where Binance is better
- Free, with up to 50 alerts and nothing extra to install if you already use Binance.
- You can act on an alert immediately, in the same app.
- Alerts match Binance's own pair prices exactly.
Where CoinPriceAlert is better
- No 50-alert ceiling on Pro, and no alert lapses after 90 days, free or paid.
- Coins not listed on Binance, plus US and Indian stocks, metals, energy and forex.
- Telegram and email as well as push, quiet hours, trailing stops and indicator alerts.
- No exchange account or API key: watching a price should not require access to where your money is.
Which to pick
Choose Binance if you trade only on Binance and need a few alerts beside the order book. Choose CoinPriceAlert if you watch more than Binance pairs, or want alerts kept apart from your exchange account. Both can be tried free, so the fairest test is to set the same alert on each and see which notification you actually act on.

Frequently asked questions
How many price alerts can you set on Binance?
Binance's help page says up to 10 per trading pair and 50 across all pairs, each valid for 90 days (checked 19 September 2026). CoinPriceAlert allows 3 free and unlimited on Pro, and they do not expire.
Why am I not getting Binance price alerts?
Binance's help page notes alerts are only available in the app's Pro mode and need notifications enabled for the Binance app in your phone settings (or for Binance Desktop in your computer's settings). Alerts older than 90 days also lapse.
Does CoinPriceAlert need my Binance API key?
No. It never asks for an exchange API key, wallet connection or seed phrase. It watches public prices, so it has nothing that could trade or withdraw.
Can I get alerts for coins not on Binance?
With CoinPriceAlert, yes: it covers about a thousand coins from CoinGecko's market data, plus stocks, metals and forex. Binance alerts cover Binance trading pairs.
