Open data on how much markets actually move
Setting an alert is guesswork until you know how often a price really crosses the level you picked. These datasets measure 437 cryptocurrencies and 45 stocks, metals, energy and currency pairs over a year of daily closes. Bitcoin moved 1.25% on a typical day and a 5% alert fired about 1.5 times a month; gold moved 0.96%. Published as tables and CSV, and free to cite.
Crypto volatility dataset
How often each of the top coins actually moves 3%, 5% and 10% in a day, from a year of Binance daily candles — the numbers behind a sensible alert threshold.
Market volatility dataset
The same measurement across stocks, metals, energy and forex, so you can compare how twitchy each market really is.

Previous snapshots, kept so a number you cited last month is still there next month.

Pick a coin and a percentage, and see how many alerts a month that would actually have sent you.
Live, not measured
One page here is a live read rather than a year of candles: the list of Binance Alpha tokens, every token currently on Binance Alpha with its price, market cap and 24-hour volume, refreshed from Binance every fifteen minutes.
