Market cap and volume come from Binance's own Alpha feed. On an early-stage token both can be small and jumpy; a token with a large cap and almost no volume is one you cannot sell in size.

Alpha is not a Binance listing

This is the single most expensive misunderstanding around Alpha, and the table above settles it: 26 of 398 tokens on Alpha today also have a Binance listing. Binance says plainly that being featured on Alpha does not guarantee a listing. A spot listing puts a coin on the Binance order book with market makers and depth. Alpha routes your order on-chain instead, so the price you get carries gas and price impact, and liquidity can be a fraction of what an order book holds.

How Alpha trading works since Alpha 2.0

Alpha originally lived in the Binance Web3 wallet, and plenty of guides still describe it that way. Binance Alpha 2.0, introduced in March 2025, moved it into the exchange: you trade Alpha tokens from your Spot and Funding balances without setting up a separate wallet, while the trade itself still settles on-chain. Two things follow. You do not need to manage a wallet or seed phrase to touch Alpha — and you are still making an on-chain swap, with everything that implies about slippage on a thin token.

Alpha points, airdrops and TGEs

Alpha points are an activity score built from two things: the balances you hold and the volume you trade on Alpha. Binance's Alpha Points FAQ defines your total as the sum of your daily Balance Points and Volume Points over the past fifteen days, so points are a rolling window rather than a running total — stop and they decay. Points are what you spend to claim an Alpha airdrop or a token generation event, and Binance sets the cost per event and changes it, so any site quoting a fixed number is quoting one moment in time. Right now 186 tokens on the list carry an airdrop and 36 a TGE.

Check the contract before you buy

Tickers are not unique. Anyone can deploy a token with a famous symbol, and an early-stage list is exactly where a look-alike lands. Before buying an Alpha token, match the contract address against the project's own site or its Binance Alpha entry — not against a ticker, and not against a logo, both of which cost nothing to copy. What is Binance Alpha?

Binance Alpha is a pre-listing pool of early-stage tokens inside Binance. Trades settle on-chain rather than on the Binance spot order book, so an Alpha token is not the same thing as a Binance-listed coin, but since Binance Alpha 2.0 you can trade one straight from your Spot or Funding balance without setting up a separate Web3 wallet.

How many Binance Alpha tokens are there?

The list changes weekly as tokens are added and taken off. The count on this page is read from Binance every fifteen minutes and excludes anything Binance has marked offline or fully delisted, so it is the number of tokens actually tradable on Alpha right now.

Does Binance Alpha mean the token will be listed on Binance?

No, and the live list makes that concrete: only a small minority of the tokens on Alpha today also carry a Binance listing. Binance says outright that being featured on Alpha does not guarantee a listing. Alpha is a shop window for early tokens, not a queue for the main exchange.

How do I buy a Binance Alpha token?

From the Alpha area of the Binance app, using your Spot or Funding balance — that is what Binance Alpha 2.0 changed. The trade still executes on-chain, so it carries the gas cost and price impact of a swap rather than order-book execution, and thin liquidity shows up in the price you actually get.

Check the contract address before buying anything, and read the 24-hour volume column: a token with almost none is one you cannot sell in size.
