Ranked list

The best crypto alert app: 12 ranked by what they can alert on

By , developer of CoinPriceAlert · 12 services, competitor facts read on the dates linked under each entry

Short answer

There is no single best crypto alert app, and the honest answer is a list. Ranked by how much each can alert on, Cryptocurrency Alerting is first — it documents more alert types than anything else here — with TradingView second for alerts on your own indicators, and CoinPriceAlert third for covering crypto, stocks, gold, oil and forex in one watchlist with 3 alerts free and no account.

I build CoinPriceAlert, so treat this the way you would treat any list written by someone with a horse in the race — by checking it. That is why the best crypto alert app for you is decided below by a single stated measure rather than by my opinion, and why two competitors finish above CoinPriceAlert on it. Every competitor fact on this page was read off that competitor's own pricing page or help centre on the date shown, and linked; where a company publishes nothing, the row says "Not published" instead of guessing.

What this list is ranked by

Ranked by how much each service can alert on: the number of distinct alert types and the range of markets documented on its own pages. Not design, not how the app feels, not how fast it "seems" — those are judgements I am the worst person alive to make about my own product. Breadth is the one thing that can be counted off a published page.

Each one, and where it falls short

1. Cryptocurrency Alerting

Best for: the longest published list of things that can set off an alert

Its pricing page documents price, percentage, periodic price, volume, funding rate, market cap, Bitcoin dominance, stock price and volatility, exchange listings, wallet transactions and balances, whale moves, ETH gas, the Bitcoin mempool and blockchain metrics, across crypto on six named exchanges and over 10,000 stocks and ETFs. Nothing else read for this list publishes a menu that long, and nine delivery channels carry it.

Free plan
Hobby: up to 3 active alerts and up to 10 notifications, on every channel except SMS and phone calls
Paid plans
Trader $7.99/month or $47.88/year; Pro $39.99/month or $239.88/year; Business $99/month or $588/year
Delivery
Email, push, browser, Telegram, Discord, Slack, webhook, SMS and phone calls (SMS and calls on paid plans, capped weekly)
Account needed
Not published
Where it falls short
The smallest free plan here: Hobby allows 3 active alerts and 10 notifications. Trader at $7.99 a month still caps you at 20 active alerts, and Pro at $39.99 is where the cap becomes generous. Metals and forex are not listed at all.

2. TradingView

Best for: alerting on your own indicators, drawings and strategies rather than a fixed menu

Price alerts are the floor. Above them sit technical alerts on indicators, strategies and drawings, watchlist alerts, multi-condition alerts and alerts on financial metrics, over screeners covering 150-plus exchanges in 50-plus countries. If you can draw it on a chart, you can alert on it, which no fixed alert menu can match.

Free plan
Basic: 3 active price alerts, no technical alerts; alerts last 1 month
Paid plans
Essential, Plus, Premium and Ultimate, up to 17% off annually, with a 30-day trial (14 days on Ultimate). Its pricing page shows prices in the visitor's local currency, so no single dollar figure is quoted here
Delivery
Mobile app push (iOS and Android), browser pop-up, email, sound, plain-text email to another address, and webhooks (paid plans). No Telegram option in its list
Account needed
Yes (free sign-up, no card)
Where it falls short
Basic gives 3 active price alerts, no technical alerts, and alerts expire after a month. Telegram is not among its notification options, and the alert count is a per-tier quota rather than something you stop thinking about.

Full TradingView comparison, with sources — facts read 19 September 2026.

3. CoinPriceAlert

Best for: one watchlist that covers more than crypto, with the alert reaching Telegram or email

The alert types are the whole product rather than a feature of a chart or an exchange: Free: price above or below, percentage move over 24 hours or 7 days, repeat alerts with a cooldown, a note on each alert, big-move alerts on top coins. Pro: 1-hour pump alerts, trailing stop, volume spike, RSI, new all-time high, market cap, MACD and EMA crossovers, bulk alerts across many coins. They run across crypto (about 1,680 coins), 85 US stocks, 100 Indian (NSE) stocks, 10 commodities (gold, silver, WTI crude, Brent crude, copper, platinum, palladium, natural gas, corn, wheat) and 14 forex pairs, in one watchlist, and the same alert can go to push, Telegram and email at once. It is third here because the two above it document more triggers, not fewer.

Free plan
3 active alerts on every market, all three channels, home screen widget, daily digest
Paid plans
Pro $6.99/month or $48.99/year; Pro+ $14.99/month or $104.99/year (adds priority processing and support); 7-day free trial for new subscribers
Delivery
Push notification, Telegram, and email (opt-in, verified address only), in any combination. No SMS, phone calls, Discord, Slack or webhooks
Account needed
No: the app works as a guest, and you can add an email later
Where it falls short
No SMS, phone calls, Discord, Slack or webhooks, no public API, no portfolio and no charts. It does not alert on exchange listings or on-chain activity, and the indicator alerts are a fixed set — you cannot write your own. Free is 3 active alerts, which is smaller than several free plans on this page.

CoinPriceAlert's figures are generated from the app's own limits and live plan prices, not typed in by hand.

4. Altrady

Best for: trend-line alerts and a technical scanner inside a trading terminal

Beyond price alerts it publishes trend-line alerts, time alerts and TA Scanner strategies, with quotas of 50, 350 or 1,000 price alerts by plan and webhook delivery on every tier. Alerts fire on a specific exchange pair rather than an aggregate price.

Free plan
No free plan. A 5-day free trial on each plan, no credit card required
Paid plans
Basic EUR 28/month, or EUR 20/month billed annually; Essential EUR 50, or EUR 35 annually; Premium EUR 90, or EUR 63 annually
Delivery
Email, mobile push notifications and webhooks, on every plan
Account needed
Yes, and an exchange connection: its pricing page says Altrady connects to exchanges by API only
Where it falls short
No free plan at all — the cheapest tier is EUR 28 a month after a 5-day trial — and its pricing page says Altrady connects to exchanges by API key only. Crypto only: no stocks, metals or forex.

Full Altrady comparison, with sources — facts read 29 September 2026.

5. Coinsentry

Best for: exchange listing alerts landing in Discord, Slack or a Telegram group

Three trigger families rather than one: price alerts when a pair crosses a level, listing and delisting alerts across the 19 exchanges it names, and indicator alerts when a Bitcoin cycle indicator crosses a threshold. It claims a 2.8-second median from the price crossing your level to the alert being sent.

Free plan
10 active price alerts, 3 watched coins, listing coverage for 1 exchange, email and private Telegram only
Paid plans
$7.99/month, or $64.99/year, which it states as $5.42/month and a 32% saving. Both give unlimited alerts and every feature
Delivery
Telegram (including groups), Discord, Slack, email and webhooks. The free plan is limited to email and a private Telegram message
Account needed
Not published
Where it falls short
No iOS or Android app — its site says apps are on the roadmap and that Telegram, Discord and Slack are the notification layer in the meantime. The free plan watches 3 coins. Crypto only.

Full Coinsentry comparison, with sources — facts read 29 September 2026.

6. CoinStats

Best for: alerts attached to a portfolio, including NFT floor prices

Custom alerts cover a price limit, NFT floor price, total market cap, volume and portfolio value, on top of automatic price notifications for coins you hold or favourite. The portfolio behind them — exchange and wallet integrations, DeFi and NFTs — is deeper than anything else on this page.

Free plan
Basic, free. Custom alerts are not among its listed features
Paid plans
Premium $13.99/month (13% less billed yearly); Degen (29% less billed yearly; monthly price not in the page text); Team on request
Delivery
App notifications; other channels not itemised on the pages we read
Account needed
Not published
Where it falls short
Its pricing page lists Custom Alerts under Premium at $13.99 a month and above, not under the free Basic plan. Delivery channels are not itemised beyond app notifications. Crypto, DeFi and NFTs only.

Full CoinStats comparison, with sources — facts read 19 September 2026.

7. CoinGecko

Best for: a free price alert on almost any coin or NFT collection

Price alerts on a coin, from a preset target interval or a custom value, one-time or recurring, plus NFT floor-price alerts on the same terms — over the widest coin and token coverage of anything here, with charts and exchange data behind every price.

Free plan
Alerts are not a paid feature, but they need a free CoinGecko account. No alert count is published
Paid plans
CoinGecko Premium $10/month or $99.90/year. Its pricing page describes wallet tracking, transaction recording and an ad-free site; it does not list alerts as a Premium feature
Delivery
Push notifications from its mobile app, and in-app alerts. Its alert guide does not mention email, Telegram, SMS or webhooks
Account needed
Yes: its guide says you need a CoinGecko account to set price alerts
Where it falls short
Its alert guide lists app push and in-app alerts only: no email, Telegram, SMS or webhooks. You need a CoinGecko account before you can set one, and no alert limit is published either way. Crypto and NFTs only.

Full CoinGecko comparison, with sources — facts read 29 September 2026.

8. Crypto.com

Best for: target-price and percentage alerts that can also arrive by email

The app offers a target price alert or a percentage movement alert; the Exchange adds rises-above and drops-below triggers that can repeat every minute while the condition holds. Unusually for an exchange, alerts reach you by email as well as push and in-app, with browser and desktop notifications from the Exchange.

Free plan
Yes: alerts are part of the free app and Exchange, with no plan to choose
Paid plans
None for alerts
Delivery
Push, in-app and email notifications, each switchable by category in the app’s notification settings; the Exchange adds browser notifications and macOS or Windows system notifications. No Telegram, SMS or webhooks
Account needed
Yes, a Crypto.com account
Where it falls short
Crypto only, a Crypto.com account, and its own help pages note that price alerts may not be available in some jurisdictions. No Telegram, SMS or webhooks, and no alert limit is published.

Full Crypto.com comparison, with sources — facts read 29 September 2026.

9. Binance price alerts

Best for: a handful of free alerts beside the order book you already trade on

Three triggers: price reaches, rises above or drops to a level; change over or under a percentage; 24-hour change over or down. That covers the common case, free, in an app you already have open.

Free plan
No price is mentioned; it is part of the Binance app, in its Pro mode
Paid plans
None
Delivery
Notifications from the Binance app or Binance Desktop (system notifications must be on)
Account needed
Yes, a Binance account
Where it falls short
Up to 10 alerts per trading pair and 50 in total, each valid for 90 days, on Binance trading pairs only. Notifications come from the Binance app in its Pro mode or Binance Desktop — no email, Telegram or webhooks — and the alerts live inside the account holding your money.

Full Binance price alerts comparison, with sources — facts read 19 September 2026.

10. Kraken price alerts

Best for: volatility alerts on markets you have favourited, without picking a level

Two triggers, one of which is genuinely uncommon: price alerts on a level you type or nudge with percentage buttons, and volatility alerts that flag an outsized move on favourited markets without you choosing a number at all. They sync across Kraken Pro on web, mobile and desktop.

Free plan
Part of Kraken Pro; no price is mentioned
Paid plans
None: alerts are not sold separately
Delivery
Push notifications in the Kraken Pro app, pop-ups and an audible alert in the browser, and system notifications from Kraken Desktop. No email, Telegram, SMS or webhooks are listed
Account needed
Yes, a Kraken account, since alerts are created inside Kraken Pro
Where it falls short
Kraken markets only, a Kraken account, and delivery is app push, browser pop-ups and desktop notifications — no email or Telegram. Futures alerts cannot be created in the mobile app, only on the web.

Full Kraken price alerts comparison, with sources — facts read 29 September 2026.

11. Coinwink

Best for: one email or SMS when one coin hits one price, with nothing installed

Price above or below a value — in nine fiat currencies, or priced in BTC or ETH — percentage up or down over 1 hour or 24 hours, and portfolio alerts, across the top 3,600 coins by CoinMarketCap. It is also the only service here with SMS on a mid-priced plan, and it is open source.

Free plan
5 active email alerts, 5 active Telegram alerts, 5 coins in the portfolio, 5 in the watchlist
Paid plans
Standard $8/month; Premium $12/month. Annual prices: not published
Delivery
Email, Telegram and SMS (SMS on Premium, 100 a month, 150+ countries)
Account needed
Yes, a free Coinwink account
Where it falls short
Browser only: its site explains adding it to a home screen and links no App Store or Google Play app. The free plan splits into 5 email and 5 Telegram alerts rather than pooling them. Crypto only, and no checking interval is published.

Full Coinwink comparison, with sources — facts read 19 September 2026.

12. Coinbase

Best for: a free push when something on your Coinbase Watchlist moves sharply

Real-time alerts when a Watchlist asset moves substantially up or down, plus price alerts you switch on in Notification Settings. If your crypto is already at Coinbase there is nothing to install and nothing to configure beyond a toggle.

Free plan
Yes — the Coinbase app and its price alerts are free to use
Paid plans
No paid tier for alerts; price alerts are part of the free app
Delivery
Push notifications in the Coinbase mobile app only. No email, Telegram, SMS, Discord or webhooks for price alerts
Account needed
Yes — a verified Coinbase exchange account, since the alerts live inside the exchange app
Where it falls short
The narrowest trigger set here, delivered as push inside the Coinbase app only — no email, Telegram, SMS or webhooks. Crypto only, and it needs a verified Coinbase exchange account.

Full Coinbase comparison, with sources — facts read 26 September 2026.

Read, and deliberately left off the list

CryptoListing.ws was read on the same terms as everything above and does not belong on a list of alert apps: it is a low-latency WebSocket feed of exchange listing and delisting announcements built for trading bots, priced per exchange per month, and its own pages say it does not watch prices. If you trade listings programmatically it is excellent and nothing here replaces it.

If a different thing matters most to you

Breadth is one measure and it is not everybody's. Three other lists here rank the same services by three other things, and the winner changes each time.

Setting one up here

If CoinPriceAlert is the right fit: crypto price alerts, percentage alerts, alerts in Telegram, or every market and alert type. If it is not, the head-to-head comparisons say so per rival.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best crypto alert app?

There is no single answer, which is why this page ranks by one stated measure rather than declaring a winner. By breadth of what can be alerted on, Cryptocurrency Alerting is first and TradingView second. CoinPriceAlert is third, and is the pick if you want crypto, stocks, gold, oil and forex in one watchlist with delivery by push, Telegram and email, 3 alerts free and no account. This page is written by CoinPriceAlert's developer, so the ordering was decided before the writing.

Do any of these work without an exchange account?

CoinPriceAlert works as a guest with no account of any kind. Binance, Coinbase, Kraken and Crypto.com alerts live inside those exchanges and need an account there. CoinGecko and TradingView need a free sign-in. Altrady needs both an account and an exchange API connection.

Which of these send alerts to Telegram?

From the pages read: Coinwink, Cryptocurrency Alerting, Coinsentry and CoinPriceAlert. TradingView, CoinGecko, Binance, Coinbase, Kraken, Crypto.com, CoinStats and Altrady do not list Telegram among their notification options.

How were these ranked?

By the alert types and markets each service documents on its own site, read on the dates shown on each comparison page. Nothing came from review sites or from memory. CoinPriceAlert's own figures are generated from the code that enforces them — the free alert limit the server applies and the plan prices the paywall reads — so this page cannot promise something the app does not do. Pro is currently $6.99 a month.
