About CoinPriceAlert
CoinPriceAlert is a price-alert app for crypto, US stocks, gold, silver, oil and major currency pairs, built and run by one developer. Alerts are checked on our servers and reach your phone or Telegram with the app closed. The website publishes live coin pages, a threshold planner built from a year of real daily candles, and a blog about setting alerts that are worth reading.

Who builds it
Gurjeet Singh builds CoinPriceAlert: the alert engine, the coin pages and the threshold planner on this site. Gurjeet also built the offline-first Expense Tracker: Income Manager app. The app is published on the App Store and Google Play under that name, and support email is answered by the same person: support@coinpricealert.io.
What the app never does
It never asks for a private key, a seed phrase or an exchange API key with trading rights. Wallet tracking uses public addresses only, which can be read but not spent from. There is no feature in the app that needs the ability to move your money, so there is no situation in which we will ask for it.
Where the data comes from
Prices, market caps, supply figures and all-time highs on the coin pages come from CoinGecko and are refreshed continuously; charts are cached briefly so the pages stay fast. Stock, metal, energy and forex quotes, and the year of daily closes behind the market pages, come from Yahoo Finance. The alert planner on each coin page and the threshold calculator use daily candles from Binance: for each of the last 365 days we take the close-to-close move, and a threshold "fires" on any day whose move exceeded it. Firings per month is that count scaled to 30 days. It measures exactly what a 24-hour percentage alert measures, and it is history, not a forecast.
How the pages are written
22 coins have profiles written by hand: Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, XRP, BNB, Cardano, Dogecoin, Avalanche, Chainlink, Polkadot, Polygon, Litecoin, Toncoin, Shiba Inu, TRON, Uniswap, Monero, Arbitrum, Optimism, Render, Aave, Pepe. Around 70 more carry a hand-written one-line thesis and a note on what moves their price. Every other coin page is built from live market data and the asset's category, and says so at the bottom; those pages are kept out of search engines until they earn a profile.
Blog posts are written by Gurjeet Singh. Some explainers share a short section on alert method, because the method is the same whatever the asset. There are no affiliate links, no paid placements and no sponsored posts on this site. Nothing here is financial advice, and corrections are welcome by email.
