Bulk market alerts: one rule, hundreds of coins
A bulk alert is one rule applied to a whole market segment instead of one coin: "tell me if any top-100 coin drops more than 10% in 24 hours". CoinPriceAlert evaluates it on our servers and sends one notification naming the coins that qualified. It is a Pro feature at $2.99 a month, and it is how you find the moves you did not think to watch for.
Key facts
| What it does | Applies one percentage threshold to every coin in a segment and reports the ones that crossed it |
|---|---|
| Segments | Market-cap ranges such as the top 100, so the rule covers coins you never added to a watchlist |
| Delivery | One notification per firing, by push, Telegram or both, with quiet hours |
| Plan | Pro, $2.99 a month or $19.99 a year |
| Related | Per-coin percentage alerts on every plan; 1-hour pump alerts on Pro |
How often each alert would have fired, last 365 days
| Asset | Typical day | 1 day in 10 | Largest day | 2% alert fires / month | 3% alert fires / month | 5% alert fires / month | 8% alert fires / month | 10% alert fires / month | 15% alert fires / month | 20% alert fires / month | 25% alert fires / month | 30% alert fires / month |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bitcoin | 1.25% | 3.58% | 14.02% | 8.4 | 3.7 | 1.3 | 0.2 | 0.2 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 |

For scale: how often the two largest coins moved more than each threshold in a day over the last year. Smaller coins in a bulk rule's segment move far more often. Highlighted: the tightest threshold that still fired three times a month or fewer. 365 trading days measured; updated 11 September 2026.
The problem a bulk rule solves
Per-coin alerts only find what you already thought to watch. The coin that moves 30% on a listing or an exploit is, almost by definition, not on your list. A bulk rule inverts the setup: instead of naming coins, you name a segment and a threshold, and the rule reports whichever coins crossed it. Right now, 4 coins in the top 100 have moved more than 10% in the last 24 hours; that is what a top-100, 10% bulk rule would be reporting today.
Two rules cover most of what people want. A downside rule, "any top-100 coin down more than 10% in 24 hours", which catches market-wide flushes and single-coin failures alike. And an upside rule at a higher threshold, which surfaces the day's genuine outliers without turning into a pump feed.
Choosing the threshold
A segment of a hundred coins has a hundred chances a day to cross a threshold, so the number has to be wider than the one you would use on a single coin. Bitcoin moved more than 3.58% on only one day in ten last year, but on an ordinary day several coins in the top 100 move 10%. Start at 10% for a top-100 rule and widen it if the rule fires daily; the point is that a firing should mean something has happened.
Bulk rules and market-wide moves
When the whole market falls, a bulk rule fires with a long list, and that list is the information: a flush that takes down forty coins at once is a different event from one coin failing on its own. The first is usually leverage unwinding and usually noise for a long-term holder; the second is usually news about that coin. The app's derivatives panel and the Fear and Greed gauge sit next to the list for exactly that reading.
How to set one in the app
From the alerts screen on a Pro account, choose a bulk rule, pick the segment, set the percentage and the direction, choose push, Telegram or both, and save. It runs on our servers alongside your per-coin alerts, with the app closed, and respects quiet hours.
Three alerts worth setting
- Any top-100 coin drops 10% in 24 hours
- Any top-50 coin rises 15% in 24 hours
- Bitcoin moves 5% in 24 hours (per-coin, on every plan)
Never miss a move in the markets you follow
Set a price or percentage alert once and get a push notification the moment it triggers — free, with quiet hours so nothing wakes you at 3am.
Frequently asked questions
What is a bulk alert?
One rule applied to a whole market segment. Instead of naming a coin, you name a segment such as the top 100 and a percentage threshold, and the alert reports whichever coins crossed it in the window.
Is it free?
No. Bulk rules are a Pro feature at $2.99 a month or $19.99 a year. Per-coin price and 24-hour percentage alerts are on the free plan.
What threshold should a bulk rule use?
Wider than a single-coin alert, because a hundred coins have a hundred chances a day to cross it. Ten percent on a top-100 downside rule is a sensible start; widen it if it fires daily.
How is it delivered?
As one notification listing the coins that qualified, by push, Telegram or both, with quiet hours applied.
Does it replace per-coin alerts?
No. Keep per-coin alerts on the assets you hold, at the levels you would act on, and use a bulk rule for the market you do not watch.
