Crypto Pro alternative: Crypto Pro vs CoinPriceAlert
Pick Crypto Pro if you live inside Apple and want your data to stay there: iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch and Vision Pro, iCloud sync, no analytics, keys encrypted on the device, candlesticks down to a minute, and unlimited alerts once you subscribe. Pick CoinPriceAlert if the alert has to be dependable and legible: a published free allowance of 3, a published price of $6.99 a month, checks every 5 seconds on our servers with the app closed, Telegram and email as well as push, quiet hours, and Android and web as well as iOS.
Written by the developer of CoinPriceAlert, so read it with that in mind. Every Crypto Pro fact below comes from Crypto Pro's own pages on the date shown; where they do not publish something, the table says "Not published" rather than guessing. If anything has changed, email us and it will be corrected.
Side by side
| Feature | CoinPriceAlert | Crypto Pro |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | A price-alert app. Alerts are the whole product; there is no portfolio, trading or wallet feature. | An Apple-only price tracker and portfolio app that keeps your data on the device, with alerts as one feature |
| Markets | Crypto (about 1,670 coins), 85 US stocks, 100 Indian (NSE) stocks, 10 commodities (gold, silver, WTI crude, Brent crude, copper, platinum, palladium, natural gas, corn, wheat) and 14 forex pairs, in one watchlist | Crypto, precious metals and fiat currencies in a watchlist. Stocks are not listed |
| Alert types | Free: price above or below, percentage move over 24 hours or 7 days, repeat alerts with a cooldown, a note on each alert, big-move alerts on top coins. Pro: 1-hour pump alerts, trailing stop, volume spike, RSI, new all-time high, market cap, MACD and EMA crossovers, bulk alerts across many coins | Custom alerts on a value, for cryptocurrencies, precious metals and fiat, set from the Alerts, Portfolio or Cryptos tab. Its homepage also describes being notified of a spike in price, volume or trading activity; those conditions are not itemised anywhere we could read |
| Delivery | Push notification, Telegram, and email (opt-in, verified address only), in any combination. No SMS, phone calls, Discord, Slack or webhooks | Notifications on the Apple devices the app runs on. No email, Telegram or SMS is documented |
| Free plan | 3 active alerts on every market, all three channels, home screen widget, daily digest | The app is free and includes alerts. Its Premium page says only that Premium makes alerts unlimited, so the free allowance is not published |
| Paid plans | Pro $6.99/month or $48.99/year; Pro+ $14.99/month or $104.99/year (adds priority processing and support); 7-day free trial for new subscribers | Premium, an in-app subscription. No price is published on its own site |
| Alert limit when paying | Unlimited | Unlimited on Premium, along with unlimited portfolios |
| Apps | iOS, Android and a web app | iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch and Apple Vision Pro, synced through iCloud. Its site says Android is coming soon and points to a web version meanwhile |
| Account needed | No: the app works as a guest, and you can add an email later | No account is described: portfolio data and API keys are encrypted and stored on the device, with an optional iCloud backup |
| How fast alerts are checked | Every 5 seconds on our servers, with the app closed. Binance-listed coins use a live price stream; stocks, metals and forex use quotes refreshed every minute | No alert-check interval is published. Real-time prices are a Premium setting and only for a market you pick on an exchange; its help says the averaged prices in the Cryptos tab do not update in real time |
| Quiet hours / cooldowns | Quiet hours in your time zone (held alerts are logged), plus a per-alert cooldown from 5 minutes to 1 day | Not published |
| Needs exchange keys or wallet access | Never. It asks for no exchange API key, wallet connection or seed phrase, so it cannot trade or move funds | Optional: exchange API keys and wallet public keys can be imported to fill a portfolio, encrypted in the device keychain. Alerts do not need either |
| API or webhooks | No public API or webhooks | Not published |

Where Crypto Pro is better
- Apple Watch, Mac and Apple Vision Pro apps with iCloud sync across all of them. CoinPriceAlert has no watch or desktop app.
- Privacy as the product: no analytics, nothing about your portfolio processed on a server, API keys encrypted in the device keychain.
- Portfolio import from over 90 exchanges and over 100 wallet types, which CoinPriceAlert does not do at all.
- Candlestick charts down to one minute with trading indicators, a currency calculator, Siri Shortcuts and a Face ID lock.
- Unlimited alerts on Premium.
Where CoinPriceAlert is better
- Android and a web app as well as iOS; Crypto Pro is Apple-only and its own site says Android is still coming.
- Alerts are checked on our servers every 5 seconds with the app closed, and Binance-listed coins use a live stream. Crypto Pro publishes no alert-check interval, and its real-time prices are a Premium setting on one market you choose.
- Telegram and email delivery as well as push, in any combination.
- A published free allowance: 3 active alerts, where Crypto Pro says only that Premium is unlimited and never says what free allows.
- A published price: Pro is $6.99 a month or $48.99 a year. Crypto Pro publishes no subscription price on its site at all.
- Alert conditions written down: percentage moves, trailing stops, volume spikes, RSI, new all-time highs, market cap and MACD and EMA crossovers, plus quiet hours and a per-alert cooldown.
- 185 US and Indian stocks, which Crypto Pro does not list.
Which to pick
Choose Crypto Pro if you are all-Apple, want a watch complication, and want your portfolio to stay on your device. Choose CoinPriceAlert if you want alerts that fire from a server on any phone, with Telegram, quiet hours and a price you can read before you install. Both can be tried free, so the fairest test is to set the same alert on each and see which notification you actually act on.
Setting one up here: crypto price alerts, percentage alerts, alerts in Telegram, or every market and alert type.

Frequently asked questions
Is Crypto Pro on Android?
Not yet. Its own platform page lists iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch and Apple Vision Pro, and its Android page says the app is coming soon and offers a web version in the meantime (read 30 September 2026). CoinPriceAlert has native iOS and Android apps and a web app.
How many alerts does Crypto Pro allow for free?
It does not say. Its Premium page states that Premium users can set unlimited price alerts, without publishing what the free app allows. CoinPriceAlert publishes the number: 3 active alerts free, unlimited on Pro.
What does Crypto Pro cost?
No price is published on its site: Premium is an in-app subscription, so you see the figure in the App Store. CoinPriceAlert Pro is $6.99 a month or $48.99 a year, and the same prices appear on this page and in the app.
Do Crypto Pro alerts work with the app closed?
Its help pages do not say, and no alert-check interval is published; the app is built around data held on your device. CoinPriceAlert checks alerts on its own servers every 5 seconds whether or not the app is open, and can send to Telegram and email as well as push.
Does either one alert on gold?
Both do. Crypto Pro lists precious metals and fiat in its watchlist alongside crypto; CoinPriceAlert covers gold, silver, platinum, palladium, copper, oil, natural gas, corn, wheat, 14 forex pairs and 185 US and Indian stocks.
